President Obama pledged to fight for a clean energy future for America tonight in his first speech from the Oval Office. The Administration is using the Gulf Coast Oil Spill as a launching pad for the United States to end its dangerous dependence on fossil fuels once and for all.
Following the nationally televised speech, Organizing for America (Obama's grassroots mobilizing arm to help pass legislation) supporters received an email from OFA Director Mitch Stewart asking them to stand with the President on clean energy.
The email provided a link to a clean energy pledge web page -- http://my.barackobama.com/CleanEnergyFuture -- asking visitors to add their name to show their support for a clean energy future.
